Press the tofu for 30 minutes to get all the moisture out of it.
14 oz firm tofu
Mix the wet ingredients together and let them sit for 5 minutes.
1 cup unsweetened plain oat milk, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 2 tbsp aquafaba
In a separate bowl mix together all the dry ingredients.
2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder
Cut the tofu into thin squares.
Dip the tofu into the wet mixture, then put in the dry mixture. You can repeat this if you’d like a thicker battered crust.
Place the dipped tofu in a pan with oil over medium heat. Pan fry until golden brown, then flip and pan fry the other side.
14 oz firm tofu, 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Once each side is golden brown, place on a plate with a paper towel to get excess oil off. Then serve with mashed potatoes and gravy.
